We recover and recycle 100% of the plastics that we receive at our facility and where feasible we ensure that the plastics are recycled back into UK industry creating and maintaining UK jobs.
We have invested a considerable amount of time and resources into educating our staff and purchasing the necessary plant and equipment to enable us to divert all plastics from landfill.
We work very closely with pioneering UK plastic manufacturers and re-processors to identify, separate and grade the plastics that enter our facility so that they can be re-used in the UK in a variety of applications and recycled products.
We accept all types of plastic waste for recycling. Whilst plastics are a difficult waste to handle and recycle, it is preferable to using virgin plastics, which are created from crude oil, a finite and limited resource.
As responsible recyclers we will always find a home for any plastics that enter our facility rather than sending it to landfill or for incineration. Refuse derived fuel is the easiest and most commercially viable option for mixed plastics and it’s an option that many waste management companies take, however, it’s not an option that Kenny Waste Management take, as we view burying or burning a problem waste as a waste of a valuable resource.
