For more than 35 years, Kenny Waste Management has been committed to responsibly processing waste as a valuable resource.
We carefully sort and separate the materials we receive to ensure they are recycled, recovered, or reused wherever possible. This approach supports a closed-loop recycling system, helping to reduce the environmental impact of waste while supplying valuable secondary materials to UK manufacturers.
By recovering materials that might otherwise be discarded, we help give waste a second – and sometimes even a third – life.
Reducing Waste to Landfill
Our long-term goal is to become a zero-landfill waste management company, and we are equally committed to helping our clients achieve the same ambition.
Currently, 99% of the waste processed at our Greater Manchester facility is recovered, recycled, or diverted from landfill. Through continual improvements in waste sorting, recovery, and recycling processes, we aim to further reduce the amount of waste that cannot be reused.
Reducing Our Environmental Impact
In addition to recycling and waste recovery, we recognise that our operations and services can also have an environmental impact.
That’s why we are actively working to:
-
reduce operational waste
-
minimise pollution
-
lower our carbon footprint
-
improve environmental performance across our business
Our environmental strategy applies to every part of the organisation and involves working with both internal teams and external partners to continually improve how we operate.
Our Journey to Net Zero
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have partnered with Simply Carbon Reduction to support our journey towards net zero.

Our Partners
Our approach to delivering the best value for our national customers focuses on using partners to deliver a service on our behalf. We refer to our suppliers as partners, because that is what they are. We regularly audit our partners to ensure their values and operations reflect our own, and dedicate time and energy to building positive relationships built on trust and commitment.
We have a ‘together we can achieve more’ mindset, and realise that long-term collaboration on projects will always result in an environment where our customers needs are put first. If you would like more information or to be considered as a partner, please call our team on 0161 790 3737.
Our People
At the heart of our business are our people and we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and collaborative working community. We care deeply about everyone’s wellbeing and this embraces both physical safety and mental health. Everyone has a role to play in building a strong, resilient, and positive culture. Our team are supported to bring their ideas, creativity, and experience to every interaction with both colleagues and customers.
We also passionately believe that by identifying people’s talents and encouraging them to shape their own career path, we can build a culture ensuring everyone can flourish and reach their potential. We believe in our people, and they stand at the heart of our success. It’s as simple as that.

Our Community
We recognise that we are a part of, and have responsibilities towards, the communities we operate in. We want to continue to make a real difference where we can, with a promise to facilitate long-lasting change. We are committed to being a good neighbour and employer and are always looking for ways to support our partners by providing either waste related services or offering staff skills and expertise. Our focus remains on building relationships with local and national partners, who are addressing key social and environmental issues, and share our passion for shaping a positive future.
We believe building partnerships is the greatest way for us to add value to the community and offer contributions to those organisations, most in need, by addressing key social and environmental issues.
We have a zero tolerance to Modern Slavery and our statement, made on behalf of the board, sets out its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations.
