Our Planet

For over 35 years we have been responsibly processing waste as a resource. We sort and separate our waste to ensure it is recycled and re-used wherever possible. This “closed-loop recycling” reduces the potential negative impact of processing waste, while providing a superb source of secondary commodities for UK manufacturers. We pride ourselves at Kenny Waste Management in processing the materials we receive to find a second, or even third, useful life.

We want to become a zero-landfill company and are committed to helping our clients achieve that goal too. With 99% of all the waste processed at our Greater Manchester facility being recovered, recycled or diverted from landfill.

Aside from our recycling and re-purposing operation, we also recognise that our support activities and services can have an impact on the environment. We are taking steps to reduce our own waste, pollution and lighten our carbon footprint. Our environmental strategy reaches all areas of our business and includes working with internal and external stakeholders to continually make improvements in our environmental performance.

Our Partners

Our approach to delivering the best value for our national customers focuses on using partners to deliver a service on our behalf. We refer to our suppliers as partners, because that is what they are. We regularly audit our partners to ensure their values and operations reflect our own, and dedicate time and energy to building positive relationships built on trust and commitment.

We have a ‘together we can achieve more’ mindset, and realise that long-term collaboration on projects will always result in an environment where our customers needs are put first. If you would like more information or to be considered as a partner, please call our team on 0161 790 3737.

We also passionately believe that by identifying people’s talents and encouraging them to shape their own career path, we can build a culture ensuring everyone can flourish and reach their potential. We believe in our people, and they stand at the heart of our success. It’s as simple as that.

Our Community

We recognise that we are a part of, and have responsibilities towards, the communities we operate in. We want to continue to make a real difference where we can, with a promise to facilitate long-lasting change. We are committed to being a good neighbour and employer and are always looking for ways to support our partners by providing either waste related services or offering staff skills and expertise. Our focus remains on building relationships with local and national partners, who are addressing key social and environmental issues, and share our passion for shaping a positive future.

We believe building partnerships is the greatest way for us to add value to the community and offer contributions to those organisations, most in need, by addressing key social and environmental issues.

We have a zero tolerance to Modern Slavery and our statement, made on behalf of the board, sets out its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations.

If you want to know more about our key focus areas, the support we offer or how to get involved please see our Community Investment Statement.
