Kenny Waste Management

About us

We’ve been providing an environmentally safe and controlled waste management service for over 30 years. Find out how we can benefit your business.

Our story

Kenny Waste Management was established in Worsley in 1985 by Edward and John Kenny when the brothers added a set of skip loading gear onto a second-hand transit pickup. The industrious brothers then set about making their own skips in their garage at home. After a matter of weeks, they had half a dozen 2-yard skips – and Kenny Skip Hire was born.

John was training as a YTS mechanic at a local garage and working weekends on the new skip business. Then he passed his driving test, the business bought its second truck, and the brothers were up and running!

The business grew and eventually found its home in Lester Road in Worsley, a little further out of the city centre. Three land acquisitions and a huge amount of blood, sweat and tears were followed by an unprecedented period of business growth, helped greatly by the arrival of commercial steer Neil Mackey (our current Managing Director). Neil arrived from the demolition industry, and brought a customer-focused approach to the business.

Our Core Values

Kenny Waste Management was borne out of Kenny Skip Hire early in the 2000s as the business developed into a total waste management provider, with continuous investment in our Material Reclamation Facility, enabling us to now process over 15,000 tonnes of waste each month.

In 2008 Paul Eagleton joined from the construction industry and focused on developing secondary markets for the waste we processed in our MRF, continually looking for the best methods for diverting the waste away from Landfill.

This developed our core values ‘recover, divert from landfill, recycle’, where the focus of landfill diversion means we are proud to report we currently have a 99% diversion from landfill as the leading independent total waste management business in Manchester.

Our Commitment

Recover. Divert from landfill. Recycle. Those core values underpin everything we do.

We’re determined to become a zero landfill company ourselves – and we’re committed to helping our clients achieve that goal, too.

99% of the waste processed at our Greater Manchester facility is recovered and recycled – and we’re working hard to make this 100%.

We are also committed to providing exceptional service to all our clients. Our role is to simplify waste disposal for you while making sure that your company is fully compliant with all the current waste disposable legislations.
