Our Vape Recycling solution offers fully compliant and secure indoor storage of vape pens and e-cigarettes before they are transported to be recycled at a fully licensed dedicated WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) facility.
Why Recycle?
E-cigarettes and vapes require a separate disposal solution as they are a type of hazardous WEEE.
This is a significant issue facing the UK at every level; we have explored all the options and we firmly believe that recycling is the best option for this rapidly exploding waste stream.
Recycling e-cigarettes prevents fires, and it also extends the lifespan of our planet’s limited resources. Please do your part.
What Are The Risks of Incorrect Disposal?
Due to built-in batteries, any vape or e-cigarette poses a serious fire risk as soon as it becomes damaged.
This can occur in the compaction mechanism of a bin lorry, the shredding of mixed waste for further processing, or even in day-to-day situations where a vape pen has become compromised. As soon as the anode connects with the cathode in a discarded device, the battery undergoes an explosive process called thermal runaway.
The resulting chemical fire is extremely difficult to extinguish. Our fire safety poster is viewable online and free to download.
