We pride ourselves on being a business which has deep links to both it’s customers and communities we operate in.
Recently we were approached by our valued customer Eric Wright Construction to help a client who some consider being a lifeline to the mental, physical and spiritual well-being. The church usually supports over 100 people in the community but due to Covid-19 these numbers have swelled, and 100’s of new people have accessed the various outreach groups, health support and other services offered. With an increase in numbers accessing the services, it was clear that the flooring needed to be urgently replaced to prevent users from tripping or slipping.
Usual fundraising options were limited due to restrictions on group gatherings, coupled with many historic supporters who were themselves facing financial struggles. The church approach Eric Wright Construction who has a strong commitment to community investment and understands the power of working with like-minded organisations in its supply chain. It was vital that the removal of the old floor and installation of the new floor took place swiftly so that the services of the church were not impacted. We collaborated closely with Eric Wright Construction and in just three days wee removed over 3 tonnes of waste.
All our time, skips and processing of waste was offered “free of charge” but, we are most proud of the speed in which they were able to respond to the request for support.
“We are very grateful for Eric Wright Construction, Phoenix Flooring and Kenny Waste Management for the contributions without which the project wouldn’t have gone ahead as quickly as it did, so big thank you!”
