Supporting our NHS

We are very proud to have been able to continue operating throughout this unprecedented time and support our customers with some very key projects.  One of these was providing waste management services to Integrated Health Projects while they completed the transformation of GMEX to a Nightingale Hospital.

Prior to Covid-19 pandemic we probably wouldn’t have described ourselves as ‘key workers’, but it turns out we are.  Kenny Waste Management have continued to play our part throughout.

By keeping our doors open we’ve continued to serve our customers, like Integrated Health Projects, who converted GMEX into a Nightingale Hospital.

This has been a phenomenal feat with everyone pulling out all the stops to ensure this was completed as fast and as safely as possible.  In fact, it only took 12 days to complete, but the IHP team worked 24 hours a day and had up to 300 workers on site at any one time.

They were one of our priority customers and we’re very proud to have supported them by ensuring the site was cleared of construction waste on a daily basis.

John Fowler, Senior Project Manager said “Kenny Waste Management remained open for the duration of the scheme over Easter and lockdown and even Ted Kenny himself was prepared to get back behind the wheel in order to provide uninterrupted service to enable this critical facility to maintain progress and hand over on time.  IHP/Vinci have worked in partnership with Kenny Waste Management for over 10 years with a superb service received as always”

We’ll be continuing this service whilst Integrated Health Projects build the surge hospitals at Deeside, Bangor and Preston UCLAN.
