Educating for the Future with Eric Wright Group

To cap off this school year, Kenny Waste Management collaborated with Eric Wright Group to provide all-important Health & Safety learning to the next generation at St Annes Primary School.

Representatives from Eric Wright Group gave a comprehensive overview and conveyed the importance of Health & Safety on construction sites. The session included specific Health & Safety requirements for working on a construction site in a variety of contexts, with information accessible to the Year 6 pupils taking part.

Kenny Waste Management offered a full workshop including engaging activities to teach the pupils about road safety. Pupils got the opportunity to see inside the cab of one of our ultra-low emissions HGVs as part of interactive demonstrations to understand truck movement, stopping distance, field of vision, and the driver experience. Our business is FORS Silver and CLOCS accredited, so we are always keen to share our expertise to help make UK roads safer for all.

“When we were selecting our preferred waste management partner earlier in the year, social value played a key part in the decision making. I have been working with Alex on a number of initiatives recently and it was great to see them now come to life. Working with our supply chain to deliver social value in the areas that we work allows us to create greater social impact”.

– Scott Latta, Social Value Manager at Eric Wright Group

“This type of collaboration generates tangible social value for all involved. Eric Wright continues to be a leader in community investment, something we have always been very passionate about at Kenny Waste Management. Our partnership embodies our focus as a responsible business: Building relationships with local and national partners, who are addressing key social and environmental issues, and share our passion for shaping a positive future.

– Alex Mayes, Non-Executive Director at Kenny Waste Management Social Enterprise

We are always keen to work with our partners and customers across industries to invest in our communities. If you would like to collaborate to deliver valuable experiences to those in the communities we live and work in, please get in touch with our social enterprise team.
